This animation is one of four films, for the World Athletics International Safeguarding campaign. These resources are part of training materials devised by World Athletics, to help keep athletes at all levels safe from harm. The content in these videos unpacks safeguarding in different ways and uses the stories to encourage debate.
As these films are intended for a global audience, they were translated and re-versioned into 6 other languages including French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Mandarin and Russian, so they can reach the widest possible for World Athletics' efforts to keep athletics safe for all. These films use graphics, voiceover, and sound design to drive the narrative and emphasise the emotion and behaviours of the characters. These really help in bringing the animation to life and giving it depth.
